Two Weeks To Remember (lot of light on the horizon)

It’s been a minute and I’ve missed you as always. This summer has been really hot and slow in the valley, so I’ve been traveling around quite a bit seeking adventure, inspiration and a little bit of respite.

In fact, I just returned from a two week road trip covering 1,600 miles from Bozeman, Montana all the way back to Phoenix with my favorite travel partner Ms. Jordini. We got to Western swing under a Blue Moon at a gastropub in the sticks called The Jump. We experienced the sunrise as we drove through the Buffalo Bill Cody Scenic Byway into Yellowstone National Park where we fly fished on the Lamar River maybe 25 yards away from a herd of 200 buffalo. We careened through the Beartooth Pass with all its hairpin curves up to a 10,000 ft summit where we met a family of ghost white mountain goats that looked like they’d lived there for 10,000 years.

We got to horseback ride in a light summer rain along the banks of the Buffalo Fork River in Jackson Hole, WY. We river rafted on the ever-winding Snake River and conquer a famous Class 3 rapid called “Big Kahuna.” We caught a slice of a rainbow cut by the thundering peaks of The Tetons just minutes before witnessing our first Black Bear we’ve ever seen in person. We rolled through endless fields of gold along the border or Wyoming and Utah as we skated into Provo on the wake of the sunset. We played chess with our footsteps along the chalky edges of The Amphitheater at Bryce Canyon, tantalized by the shifting Hoodoos conspiring together in a labyrinthian illusions. We incurred mild neck injuries cocking our heads back to drink in the Milky Way, which we could see clear as day at that same Amphitheater after dark.

We tiptoed to the summit of “Angel’s Landing” in Zion by the hair of our crooked necks as we tried not to think too much about the 1,400 ft drop-off just an arms length away from both sides of the “trail.” We squeezed through “The Narrows” of Zion, sliding deeper and deeper into the towering walls of the canyon until we were swallowed up by its raw and rugged beauty. We skimmed along the upper lip of the north side of the Grand Canyon as we made our way into the red clay valleys of Lees Ferry, like teleporting to a small town on Mars. We ended our trip with an evening of espresso martinis, craft beer and chicken katsu in Flagstaff, Arizona where we slept like babies in the most wretched Motel we’d ever dared to step foot in.

By the end we were glad to be home in the comfort of our own bed, but the highlights of our journey were worth every single uncomfortable setback we experienced on the open road.

On another note, next BIG SHOW with the band will be in a couple weeks on October 5th at Valley Bar as we will be direct support for Me Nd Adam, the original “Trash-Wave” band from Austin, TX! Also on the bill is the hauntingly catchy Portair from Australia to make this one of the most unique Indie lineups of the year. You can get your Tickets now RIGHT HERE!

My upcoming music release on October 6th is a Remix of “Where She At” that features the talented Amani Jae, an MC, Choreographer and Entrepreneur also based here in the Valley. We wanted to give it some old school Outkast meets Jay-Z vibes that you could line dance to. In the meantime Please give me a FOLLOW on Spotify right HERE to let the world know you want this song in your ears as soon as it drops!

Lastly, I’m offering a 50% discount on all my merchandise leading up to the show if your order comes out to $30 or more, I’ll also include a ticket to the Valley Bar show.
